This warranty is part of our terms of sale and applies to every order: 20 years in a home, 5 years in commercial use, from the day your chair is delivered. There is nothing to register: the order number on your confirmation email is your registration.
1 · What the warranty covers
Greens.ly warrants every Classic Muskoka Chair against defects in materials and workmanship — the recycled HDPE, the joinery, the moulded-through colour and the exterior-grade stainless steel hardware. Your chair arrives flat-packed in one box with every board and all the hardware, and goes together in about 20 minutes with a screwdriver. If something is wrong with how it was made, that is ours to put right: if a covered part fails in normal use, we repair it or replace it.
2 · Conditions for coverage
Coverage applies to a chair used and cared for as outdoor furniture — kept on a reasonably level surface and cleaned from time to time (see below). Keep your order number; it is your warranty registration, and registration is automatic at purchase — there is no card to mail. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and runs for 20 years in residential use or 5 years in commercial use, counted from the day your chair is delivered.
3 · Living with recycled poly lumber — what is normal, and what is not
Recycled HDPE does not behave like wood: it does not absorb water, so it will not rot, swell, splinter or develop surface checks. Left outside it simply stays put through rain, snow and full sun.
What is normal: a very slight softening of the deepest colours after years of direct sun, fine surface scuffing from use, and a little seasonal expansion — the material moves marginally with temperature, which is why the hardware is not torqued solid.
There is nothing to touch up or recoat. The colour runs through the whole board, so a scratch shows the same colour underneath and a scuffed arm comes back with a soft brush and soapy water.
4 · What is not covered
- Gradual mellowing of colour from years of direct UV exposure
- Minor colour variation between production batches
- Ordinary scuffs and marks from everyday use
- Damage from pressure washing, solvents, abrasive cleaning, chemicals, barbecues or open flame
- Damage from misuse, standing on the chair, impacts, storms, falling branches or being blown across a yard — that is a homeowner’s-insurance event
- Modifications or repairs done in a way that damages the chair
Leaving your chair out all year is not on this list. It is made to live outside through rain, snow and full sun, and doing so does not affect your cover.
5 · Shipping damage is handled separately — and faster
Look your chair over as soon as it arrives. If the carton or the chair is damaged, note it with the driver where you can, then email us right away with photos. Shipping damage is not a warranty claim and we do not treat it like one — we sort it out directly, in writing, without you shipping anything back. Delivery is free and included in the price; your delivery window is confirmed in writing before your chair is built.

7 · Remedies
For a covered claim, Greens.ly will — at its choice — repair the affected part, supply a replacement component, or replace the chair. Remedies under this warranty do not extend the original coverage period. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, and your separate 30-day money-back guarantee is unaffected.
