Why we only make one chair

One chair, done properly, is cheaper and better than a catalogue.

We started Greens.ly in 2017 with one idea: keep plastic out of landfill by turning it into something nobody ever throws away. A chair was the obvious thing. Not because it is the only thing you can make from recycled HDPE — people make decking, benches, planters, whole pergolas — but because the Muskoka chair is the one object everyone in Canada already wants, already understands, and already knows the wooden version of fails.

One chair means one thing to get right

Every board in our factory is one of a handful of sizes. Every jig is set once. Every colour is checked against one master. When you make one product you get to be very, very good at it, and you get to make it for less than someone making forty products makes theirs.

One chair means one price

Fourteen colours, all $299. No premium finish, no "designer" edition, no upsell. The ottoman and the table exist because the chair is better with them and because people asked. That is the whole range.

One chair means a straight promise

Twenty years on the material. Thirty days to return it, shipping paid. Cancel free before it goes into production. We can make those promises because we know exactly what we are promising about, down to the bolt.

If you want a dining set to match, we will happily point you to someone who makes one. If you want the chair, this is the place.
