The Cedar Adirondack chair
The one most people picture. A warm, sunlit cedar tone that gives you the look of the original wooden chair without a single spring of staining.

Cedar is our signature color and the one most people order. It is the color of the chair everyone remembers from a dock or a porch — the honeyed brown of freshly oiled cedar — held permanently at the moment it looks best. Real cedar reaches this shade for about one summer before it starts to silver. Ours stays here.
It is the easiest color to place. On a grey composite deck it warms the whole space; against a cedar or pine deck it reads as a natural match; on stone or concrete it is the thing your eye goes to. It suits dark-stained cabins and white farmhouses equally, which is why it is the default in the photographs.
In full sun it glows; in shade it settles to a deeper tan. Because the pigment runs through the board, the seat and the back stay the same color as each other for the life of the chair, which is not something wood can promise.
Who picks Cedar
Cottage owners replacing a wooden set they are tired of maintaining. Anyone who wants the classic look and does not want to think about it again. It is also the safe choice for a rental or a resort, because nobody has ever looked at a cedar-colored chair by a lake and thought it was wrong.

Questions
Does the Cedar color fade like real cedar?
No. Real cedar silvers within a year outside. This is HDPE pigmented through the board with UV stabiliser; the shade you see is the shade it stays.
