The Sand Adirondack chair

Pale, warm and beachy. The color of dry sand at the top of the beach.

The Classic Adirondack Chair, ottoman and side table in Sand

Sand is the lightest warm color we make. It is the beach-house color, the one that looks right on a boardwalk, next to dune grass, or on a pale wooden deck. It stays cool in the sun like Light Grey does, but where Light Grey is crisp, Sand is soft.

It pairs naturally with White for a coastal set and with Cedar for a warmer one, and it takes a navy or green cushion beautifully. It is also the color that shows the shape of the chair most gently — no hard shadows, no silhouette — which some people prefer.

Like every pale color it shows pollen for a fortnight in spring, and like every one of our colors it rinses clean and never stains.

Who picks Sand

Beach houses and lake houses with pale interiors. Pool decks. Anyone who finds white too stark and grey too cold.

Pairs with

White, Cedar, Taupe — same material, same price, built in the same run so the shades match.

Questions

Is Sand close to White?

It is clearly warmer and a shade darker — a beige rather than a white. Side by side, White looks bright and Sand looks soft.
