The White Adirondack chair
Clean, bright and cool in the sun. The classic porch chair, without the yearly repaint.

White is the color of the porch chair — the one that has always been white, and always needed painting again by July. Ours does not: it is white all the way through, so a scuff is white, a scratch is white, and the pollen washes off with a hose.
It stays the coolest of any color in the sun, which matters on a south-facing porch or a pool deck. It looks right on a white farmhouse, striking against dark siding, and it is the partner to every bright color we make: Blue and White is the dock, Red and White is the boathouse.
It is not a stark white; it has a touch of warmth so it does not glare. Under a porch roof it reads as cream; in full sun it reads as white.

Questions
Does White yellow over time?
No. HDPE with UV stabiliser does not yellow the way painted wood or cheap resin does. Pollen and dirt sit on it and rinse off.
