The Amazon Adirondack chair vs ours
The listing says HDPE. The weight says otherwise.
Search for an Adirondack chair on Amazon and the first page is mostly the same chair under twenty brand names: a thin HDPE or polypropylene shell, made in one of a handful of factories, listed at $449-ish and discounted to $150. The reviews are four stars because the chair arrives, assembles and looks fine in the photograph. The one-star reviews are from the second summer.
The tell is in the specifications. Weight: a solid poly-lumber chair is 35–40 lb; the listings say 15–22. Slat thickness: ours is a full inch; the listings say half or do not say. Hardware: "rust-resistant" means plated; stainless says stainless. Warranty: one year, or "contact seller".

When Amazon is the right answer
You need six chairs by Saturday for one party. For a chair that lives outside for years, read the weight first.
